Cutting and Recovery in single Trip. The Rock’s rotating retrieving spear is an innovative spear which can be run with hydraulic cutter to finish cut and retrievel operation in a single trip.

The rotating Retrieving Spear run in until the stop ring locates the top of the fish, Rotate string 90° to left and pull to tension the string and set grapple to grip the casing, then conduct the cutting operation in tensile. When cutting is complete, pick up and pull string.

When release from the casing, lower the string while applying slow right hand rotation to engage the J mechanism. Apply a downward impact to disengage the grapple, then maintain continuous right hand rotation while pick up the spear.

For Well Abandonment operations, the system can be adapted to cut and remove subsea wellheads, together with guide bases, in a single trip.

Features:

• Can be dressed in three different configurations.

➢ With One Piece Grapple for casing.

➢ With Segmented Grapple Assembly for casing.

➢ With special Segment Assembly to latch into sub-sea wellhead landing profile.

• Tension on string while cutting facilitates easy cutting and removal operations.

• Heavy-Duty structure utilizes bronze axial load bearings to withstand extreme tensile, rotational, and impact stresses.

• Grapple remains stationary when cutting casing.

• Can be dressed for all subsea wellhead profiles with latch mechanisms to preserve critical sealing surfaces.

• Can easiy back off from the fish.

Application

• Cut and retrieve casing in one trip.

• Cut and retrieve multi-string casing in one trip.

• Cut and retrieve sub sea wellheads in one trip(c/w guide bases).
